Belize Central Prison
There has been much work done in the Belize Central Prison since the time that we first arrived there in 1996. I myself have spent the greater portion of 8 years preaching the Gospel, counseling on life issues and in Discipleship. We have been given much grace and favor by those running the prison. We have seen God clean up the prison in many ways, including among the staff. Over the past 4 years or so Mr Virgil Murillo, CEO and Director of the Prison, has been in many ways the instrument of Gods further reform. We have seen much of our prayers answered in the prison and expect to see more. Though there are many programs in the prison. We are allowed to take the Gospel to the inmates as well. To Counsel and to be an example of change at the Belize Central Prison. In July 2020 Pastor Ken Barber resigned his post at the Belize Central prison and handed over the various ministries to Timmy Braun whom he has worked with to prepared for that ministry.

"I was in prison, and ye came unto me". Jesus Matt. 25:36
We could go back as far as Joseph in the Egyptian prison, to the thief on the cross, who was converted as he was being executed for his crimes and we can see that although these men are considered the dregs of the earth, one was guilty and one was not, yet the cross of Christ reaches to the abyss of mankind, even to the lowest of the abyss. He can save from the gutter most to the uttermost. Many of these are men for whom Christ died and as he left the splendors of heaven to reach fallen man, let this mind be also in you! Let us not think that somehow we are better sinners than they, for all have sinned...and the wages of sin is death. For God so loved the world...even this world of men who are being punished for their evil deeds.
